Coffee Break: A Virtual Parent Meeting for Children 0-5 with Hearing Loss

Join the Birth - Five Parent Outreach team the 2nd and 4th Tuesday night of each month at 8:00 PM from the comfort of your own home! Ready, Set, Learn!

Join the Birth-5 Parent Outreach team and other families for a two-hour, hands-on workshop: "Transportation Unit". In addition, you will have the opportunity to talk with Teachers of the Deaf about your specific concerns. Ready, Set, Learn! will take place at WTSD on October 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Play date! Come play together!

The Birth - Five Parent Outreach Department is presenting "Play Date! Come Play Together!" Learn about the Toddler Learning Center program at TSD Nashville, meet other parents and have social time with other children. This event will take place at TSD Nashville from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Family ASL Class Kicking off September 10th!

The Parent Outreach K-12 Program encourages all parents and family of deaf / hard of hearing children to participate in Family ASL Classes beginning on September 10th from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Come and receive information about class levels, placement and childcare. Experience in ASL or no experience, all family members are welcomed!

Dr. Wyatte Hall - "The Hidden Social Epidemic of Language Deprivation"

The Department of Instruction presents guest speaker Dr. Wyatte Hall, Research Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center, to discuss "The Hidden Social Epidemic of Language Deprivation". This event will be held at TSD Knoxville's Ward Building Auditorium on August 30, 2019. All educators, parents and stakeholders are welcome!

Introducing the Raptor Visitor Management System!

TSD is pleased to announce that we are using the Raptor Visitor Management System to strengthen our program of campus safety for students and faculty. The Raptor system will enable us to screen visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools and provide a safer environment for everyone.

SKI-HI Deaf Mentor Contractual Positions Available

SKI-HI Deaf Mentor contractual positions are now available. A Deaf Mentor provides family-centered information and guidance for families with deaf / hard of hearing / deaf-blind children.
