Tennessee Observer
TENNESSEE OBSERVER
In 1876, the first issue of this newsletter was published, but not with the name “Tennessee Observer.” It was named “Silent Observer," and it was published at the original TSD campus in downtown Knoxville, back when it was the only campus for Deaf, Deaf Plus, and Hard of Hearing students in Tennessee. It is not known why “Silent” was chosen to be part of the name of the newsletter.
