OUR MISSION:
The mission of the Federal Programs department is to organize, manage, coordinate, and monitor instructional programs and special projects district-wide to ensure federal funding opportunities to the greatest benefit of Tennessee Schools for the Deaf.
 
OUR VISION:
All students have equitable access to opportunities to propel them to successful futures.

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)
 
The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2, enacted on March 11, 2021. ESSER funding provides states with money that will used to safely return to in-person instruction, assist schools with curriculum and instructional needs, help improve facilities, and provide services for students that may be struggling due to the effects of the pandemic.
