Bio
Amy Locke joined the Knoxville campus of Tennessee Schools for the Deaf in 2023 as the Elementary Principal and now serves as the District Coordinated School Health Coordinator. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts (2007) and Master of Education (2008) from the University of North Florida.
Throughout her career, Amy has been dedicated to serving Deaf, Deaf Plus, and Hard of Hearing students in a variety of educational settings. She began as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher in Lake County, Florida, before teaching third and fourth grades in Houston, Texas. She later joined the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, where she served as a high school teacher and administrator at the Alabama School for the Deaf, eventually transferring to the E.H. Gentry Facility as both an adult education instructor and the interim director of Deaf services before coming to TSD.
Amy is passionate about fostering healthy, safe, and engaging learning environments where students and staff can thrive. She is excited to continue serving the TSD community in her new role as District Coordinated School Health Coordinator.
