Bio

I'm the Deaf Mentor & Parent Advisor Program Coordinator at Tennessee Schools for the Deaf, where I oversee statewide early intervention services for families with deaf and hard of hearing children from 0-22 years old. I'm also one of the co-leads for the Knoxville campus' Toddler Learning Class for children and their families from 0-3 years old.

I was born and raised in Utah. I started my educational career at an ASL charter school called Jean Massieu School where instruction was in ASL towards Deaf, CODA, and SODA children. I eventually transferred into mainstreamed education until moving on to graduate from Kansas School of the Deaf.

Afterward, I earned a self-designed BA in Bilingual Outreach with a focus on Early Childhood Education and a minor in Linguistics, along with a Graduate Certificate in Infant, Toddler, and Family Services, and an MA in Early Intervention Studies - all from Gallaudet University.

I specialize in language acquisition and family-centered coaching to improve outcomes for young children. I enjoy what I do and look forward to meeting more families through this work.
