Community ASL Classes


TSD Knoxville offers evening American Sign Language (ASL) classes in the fall and spring for those in the community who are interested in learning ASL and learning about Deaf Culture. The 8-week sessions are taught by TSD faculty and staff members. 


January 20 - March 20, 2019

ASL Beginner I - Monday's

*Note: Individuals attending TSD Community ASL Classes are required to present a valid drivers license at the security gate to enter campus for classes each week.


Online Registration Form - Use the Online Registration Form to sign-up for January, 2020 classes. 


The cost of ASL classes is $40 dollars per session. To confirm enrollment/attendance in the class, payment is due and must be received by Friday, January 10, 2020 – 11:59 pm and should be made out to Tennessee School for the Deaf (checks, money order, or cashier’s check), include “Community ASL class”, on the memo line. Payment should be mailed to: Tennessee School for the Deaf, 2725 Island Home Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37920 – Attn: Justine Hardin – Community ASL Class.


*A minimum of 15 people per course is needed.
