          Our Purpose

The Tennessee School for the Deaf offers an individualized and comprehensive educational program. The school provides a total learning environment that utilizes state of the art curricula, materials and methods for the purpose of preparing students for adult life. Students are equipped academically, vocationally, physically, emotionally and morally to meet the daily challenges presented by society.

Academic Bowl Competition
February 22-24, 2018

The Tennessee School for the Deaf Academic Bowl team this year is comprised of three seniors and one junior. The seniors are Hannah Lyon, Kylan Trice and Rodrian Ware. The junior is Wilma Robinson. Rodrian has been named Captain for this year’s team, and much is expected of him. This team began preparations for the competition, which begins on February 23, seven months ago at the beginning of the school year. We have put in many hours of work and are excited to get started.
